Meeting began at 4:33 P.M.

·       Review of Minutes of 4.11.07

            Approve: yes-7 no-0 abstain-0

·       Election of Chair for  2007-08 Academic Year

            The Committee unanimously re-elected Dr. Robert Styer

·       Presentation of New Members

            Dr. John Johannes- Vice President for Academic Affairs
            Mr. Thomas Nardi ’08 – ARTS

·       Results on Submitting same Alumni Executive Member Amendment

           No action taken at this time

·       Overview of Proposed Constitutional Amendment to develop a standing committee on Staff

          A discussion ensued regarding amendments suggested by a special subcommittee that met during the summer, chaired by John Stofey.  Some major points raised were the Climate Survey and its implications on staff voice in the Villanova community, the role of staff on the Senate, issues of importance to staff, and if the Senate is the best vehicle to address staff needs. 

The committee will continue its discussion at the next meeting.
